Visual Website Audit
See how your user experience is for readers on both desktop and mobile along with useful feedback
As a business owner, you strive to create a website that readers/customers are happy to go to. Even with the best intentions, sometimes the user experience can suffer with advertising, popups, email optins, and many of the other features we are told to add to our site to help with traffic.
Our visual audit was created based on customers asking us how we feel their site performs and looks to the average reader.
Remember, you have only a few seconds to make a good impression with online readers and if they don’t like your site or you make it hard to find something, they leave and will never come back.
Most site owners (I also used to think this) believe that if people were mad or having a hard time on the site, they would reach out and let you know. Unfortunately, that’s just not the case. Most readers will not take their time to email you about a bad experience. You just won’t see them again. There are millions of other sites they can go to in order to get information, so you have to make sure you give them a good experience.
With this service, you will get a screencast recording of your site on both mobile and desktop. We will provide audio on top of the video with our feedback and what we see while navigating your site. Our feedback isn’t meant to hurt your feelings, but we do “tell it like it is” when it comes to how we feel the experience is. If you are unable to handle constructive criticism, then this service might not be for you.
Remember, we give you this feedback (along with some of our suggestions) to help your business as much as we can. Giving people a good all-around user experience ends up benefiting you in the long run.
What’s Included in Our Visual Audit
1. Desktop Usability
We screencast our screen going to your site and testing several pages. We will provide feedback in audio/video form based on what we see and how your website “feels” based on a reader’s perspective.
2. Mobile Usability
With more and more people going to your site on mobile, it’s important to know how your site works on mobile devices. We will screencast our actual phone to show you how the site works for the average mobile user.
3. Feedback and Suggestions
Along with our video screencasts of your site on both desktop and mobile, we will provide feedback during the session time through video. We will also provide suggestions based on best practices in our email follow up.
